Hello! Here's a quick post just to apologize from taking a while from not posting. Recently I've been feeling a little sad and also haven't had much inspiration for posts. I was planning on doing a different post soon but just yesterday my house was robbed and my iPad was stolen. I used it to take all my pictures. Nobody was home when it happened, so my family is okay! It was a super scary experience and it didn't help me feel any better but I'm still looking up! I'll try to post more often for you guys! For those of you that stick around, I love you!

Oatmeal Bath! ♥
Hi everyone! Today I tried something awesome: an oatmeal bath! I was having some pretty bad cramps and I remember reading that talking a hot bath can help sooth cramps and help you relax. So I went to google to find out more. You all know I love looking for natural. do-it-yourself, homemade ways for beauty so I thought an oatmeal bath was an amazing idea. Not everyone, especially myself, can afford $7 bath bombs from Lush everyday but that doesn't mean we shouldn't be able to have a nice bath!
What you'll need:
Oatmeal (a cup or more, not instant)
and
A sock?
Yep! I recently bought a pack of plain white cotton socks so I didn't have to use a old one or a pair I wear often! Just grab any clean nylon sock or one without holes. I suggest one you don't wear because it might become a little stretched out.
What to to:
All you have to do is fill your sock with a cup or more of oatmeal. Use a hair tie, rubber band or the sock itself to tie it up tight. Once you have your oatmeal sock (that sounds so funny to me keke) fill up your bath tub with hot or warm water. Once you have your bath ready, dip in with you oatmeal, soak the sock for a while and then squeeze it. The "oatmeal water" will spread like a white cloud in the water. Just squeeze it every so often and relax! You can even scrub your skin with the sock!
What it will do:
Oatmeal is SUPER good for your skin. I did some research and found that oats contain polysaccharides, that become gelatinous in water and it leaves a protective film on the skin to prevent it from becoming dry. Oats also have healthy, lubricating fats to keep skin moisturized and oats even cleans pores, removing dirt and oil! Oatmeal will leave your skin soft and glowing! I definitely loved this bath. The warm water helped with my cramps and the oatmeal made my skin feel fresh and soft. If you try it ,tell me how it works for you!

Texting/Drinking While Driving
Hi everyone! I decided to do a more serious post today about something that I seriously believe needs to change and be prevented.
TEXTING AND DRINKING WHILE DRIVING.
Now I know a lot of us say we would never do something so reckless and dangerous (I hope) as texting while driving or drinking before or while drinking but then again there are a lot of us that don't even think it is harmful or dangerous at all. Those are the people that THINK they are totally in control and believe that they know what they're doing. Let me put it this way: if you text or drink and drive you are not only putting your life at risk but so many others around you.
I always thought that drinking while driving was incredibly dangerous, I mean drunk people can barely walk or talk without falling over, how can you drive?! But about a year ago I watched a video that made me open my eyes to the REAL danger of driving while driving. Many of you might have seen it on tumblr, but have you watched it?
When I watched this video I was more than just shaken up. I made my friends vow to NEVER drink and drive. If you have a friend that has ever been drunk or even buzzed while driving you should have a serious talk to him/her because what if it was YOU in that car with them and what it you guys weren't so lucky to make it home safe?
Every day in America, 27 people die as a result of drunk driving crashes.
Everyday, 27 people die because of drunk driving. That could be your entire math class, 27 friends, 27 family member, 27 parents of child, 27. 27 is a big number. And if you drink and drive, you can become part of that 27. Its not only about your own life either. What if you got into and accident while under the influence of alcohol and that caused you to smash into a car with 4 child in it? What if that car also smashed into a car with two elderly women in it? And what if THAT car hit a man on his way home from work to go see his kids? You have a pile up on the road with not just your life but 7 other peoples lives at risk. It may sound harsh, but its the truth.
If you're younger than 21 you shouldn't be drinking at all but if you do, make sure you have a designated driver. Someone that will not drink and is sober so you can get home safe. Before you go to any parties, give your keys to that person because when you're drunk you may not want to give them up. Think of your family, friends and others.
While drunk driving is extremely dangerous something just as detrimental is texting while driving. You may be thinking "But I'm not drunk, I can focus and its only a quick text." You're wrong. When you text while driving its pretty much like closing you're eyes and sleeping at the wheel because technically, you're not there. Your mind isn't on the road, its on you friend telling you that they're on their way or your mom asking you to pick up some groceries. Anything could happen right in front of you and you wouldn't see it. You might not notice a red light or a large turning truck. And a phone in your hands that just makes it harder to react quickly if you realize something terrible is about to happen. IT CAN WAIT.
Texting while driving causes 11 teen deaths EVERYDAY.
That it 11 of your classmates, friends, neighbors. People you see everyday and care about taken away because of an 'lol or 'omw'.
For more statistics on texting while driving click here.
So promise me readers, no matter what, whether you think you have the best self control or best driving skills you will not DRINK or TEXT while driving. I haven't lost a friend or family member to these things, and I don't plan on it. Its on the new EVERYDAY and I don't plan on being on the news because I lost my life because of drinking or texting while driving. You could save a life!
Egg Whites Face Mask! ♥
Hello everyone! Today, I was searching for ways to remove dark circles and help reduce under eye bags when I stumbled upon this recipe for an egg whites face mask! I was going to include it in my dark circles and eye bags post but this mask isn't only good for eye bags but for your whole face!
This mask is very simple to make and use and its also very effective! It makes your face so much brighter and I really love the refreshing feeling it give you. And if you have oily skin, this can help give you a nice balance! So, here's how to make it!
You'll need:
2 eggs
Honey
A fresh lemon
(fork, spoon, bowl, etc)
First crack your egg (gently) and pour out the whites. Make sure NOT to break the yoke. That's why I said you'll need two eggs because I broke the first one! lol! Take a spoon and gently scoop out the yoke.
Throw away the yoke. I heard that you can us it as a hair conditioner in the shower if you want!
Add in about a tablespoon of honey. Not to much because you don't want to over power the egg whites.
Stir it up! If you don't know how to beat eggs ask a parent or look it up on YouTube. Or you can just stir them really hard! LOL!
Go ahead and add some lemon. Again, not too much because this mask is already pretty watery. If you do add too much, just put in more honey! Stir/beat it all together again.
Done!
Now to apply, simple rub on small amount until you're whole face is covered and then wait 15-20 minutes!
The egg waits should help reduce darkness and circles under your eyes, tighten pores, and reduce puffiness under your eyes. The lemon can also help dry acne and fade acne scares!
Thanks for reading and tell me how this worked for you!

YOGA ♥
Hey readers! Recently I've been a tad bit into exercise. I just hated feeling so lazy and tired and seeing my boyfriend so energetic when all I wanted to do it lay down, watch a movie and sleep because the reality is even though I'm skinny, I'm OUT OF SHAPE. I used to love being active but ever since my knee dislocation during a soccer game over a year ago, I've become more and more lazy. But even though I can't take part in fast paced activities I can still keep myself in shape! People always tell me "You're too skinny already! Why would you work out?" The thing is, you don't have to be big or over weight to work out! Its all about keeping your body health!
First, I started out with an app for sit-ups since I've always wanted a toned, flat stomach. Its called SitUps to Six Pack - 0 to 200+ SitUps Training. I think the app is very well designed and effective IF you use it 3 days a week like you're supposed to, but with my varying sleeping habits and over all laziness, I never went passed day 3. (I should really get back into it!)
I also tried doing squats because what girl DOESN'T want a nice looking butt? I did 55 squats in 1 day and I felt great! The next day I felt sore and eventually it got so bad that I could barely bend down! Now I try to do 15 every other day.
SO! That brings me to my main topic: YOGA! I've always hear about yoga being so good for your body and how it can improve your posture, flexibility and strength and since I'm still looking for my preferred workout exercise I decided to give yoga a try. I thought it would be easy, like meditation with a little more stretching but I was WRONG.
I went on YouTube and clicked on the most viewed yoga video, which of course starred Jillian Michaels.
So I busted out my yoga mat, put on a comfortable pair of shorts and started the video. I didn't even bother getting water because I didn't think I would break a sweat! Watch the video yourself or even try it out and you will FEEL MY STRUGGLE! I didn't even go as hard as the girls in the video were and I still felt it all over my body. I don't usually sweat but this had my huffing and puffing, falling over, sweating all over my back and chest and making faces like I was being beaten! BUT! Don't let that turn you away. Even though it was hard, for once I actually feel like I WORKED OUT. I know there are different levels of difficultly when it comes to yoga and any other workout but if you do it right and really push yourself to hold it for 15 seconds or stretch you feet a bit wider than usual, any level should give you the result you want. And I'm just saying this from one session! I felt the "burn" in every literal sense of the word.
I felt my thighs, calves, abdominal muscles, back and arm muscles all working to their fullest. But it is only because I really pushed myself. When you work out, you always have to be mentally prepared to try your hardest or you won't get the results you want. Even though you definitely should work hard, don't push yourself TOO hard.
I know I'm going to keeping doing this exercise and other yoga work outs and hopefully with a lot of practice I'll become more toned and health over time!
BUT WAIT!
Any type of work out always comes with risk of injury! Yoga may have tons of health benefits but you NEVER want to over work yourself because that could lead to injury! If you're a beginner, do beginner work outs. Make sure to wear comfy clothes, stay hydrated, listen to your body and go slow. Always warm up before hand! How do you work out and if you do yoga how does it work of you?
Thank you!~

Avocado Face Mask ♥
Hi guys! Okay so yesterday I posts my strawberry, honey and lemon face mask and today I really wanted to try an avocado mask. I searched up and found four different ways to make an avocado mask (should have bought another avocado!) and decided to not just go with one and try to mix a few together!~ Avocado is a great natural moisturizer, especially for dry skin. Honey helps tighten pores and lemon and egg whites brighten your skin! I didn't add egg in this mask because it already had so much in it but you're free to try egg whites and avocado!
All you'll need is:
1 ripe avocado
1 tablespoon of plain yogurt
honey
half a lemon
(optional: 1 egg)
1 ripe avocado
1 tablespoon of plain yogurt
honey
half a lemon
(optional: 1 egg)
Here are all your ingredients!
First cut your avocado in half and take out the seed. Avocados are such a pretty shade of green and taste so good!
Mix up your avocado with a spoon or fork until is is nice and pasty.
Get out your yogurt! I used Publix brand. Use any brand you want as long is is plain yogurt!
It looks so pretty after the yogurt is added!
Time for the honey! I added a little over 1 tablespoon but its all up to you how much you think is right for your skin!
Now for a little lemon, not too much! We don't want the mask too watery!
And DONE!
Now for the application! I found that this mask was very easy to put on and not too messy. It felt like putting on any regular face mask you buy from the store! Wash and dry your face BEFORE you put it on to remove any dead skin. I made this mask right after I woke up. Slather it on, all over. Don't worry about getting too many chunks of avocado just try to apply the paste.
Like this!
Leave it on for about 10-15 minute. Even 20 if you like! But not too long or it will make your face sticky even after washing it off. When you're done just wash it off and your skin should be softer and brighter. It really worked for me! You'll probably have a ton left after you make it so I suggest making this with friends!
Thank you for reading and tell me how it worked for you!
