Bee and PuppyCat! ♥

Hi! This is just a quick post about a really cute YouTube show! Jasmine Blu did a post not to long ago about the show Bravest Warriors on Youtube and I was super excited because I really love Bravest Warriors! Now, the makers of Bravest Warriors, Cartoon Hanger, have made a new super cute 2 part show called Bee and PuppyCat!

I'm really said because I don't think they're making this into a full show like Bravest Warriors but I really hope that changes! I totally love Bee, she reminds me so much of myself and Dex, her friend whom she accidentally hit in the junk with her umbrella is super cute for a cartoon boy. ( ˘ ³˘)♥ So check out part 1 and 2 of Bee and PuppyCat!

Turmeric Powder Mask! ♥

Hey guys! So today did a really awesome mask that my good friend Veronicuh suggest a while ago! She told me how great turmeric powder was so I knew I had to look more into it and try it out! I found there are TONS of ways to do this mask. Some masks call for milk, some suggest lemon, some even call for a type of bean powder. I decided to go with three simple ingredients!

Honey
Ground Turmeric
Flour

That's it! Also, I searched all over for turmeric and I couldn't find it anywhere until I got lucky and found a small bottle at Walmart. You might not be able to find it in a commercial store but you will find it at an Indian market or oriental store! Which brings me to the question: What is turmeric?

Turmeric is a orange-colored spice that is imported from India. It is part of the ginger family and has been used in Middle Eastern and Southeast Asian cooking for thousands of years! Turmeric has many, many health benefits such as:
Arthritis treatment
Digestion (stomach aches, gas, bloating, etc)
Liver disease treatment
Chest disease (colds, bronchitis, etc.)
Certain forms of cancer management
Alzheimer's disease and depression management
Infection treatment
Menstrual problems

Isn't it amazing how one spice can help with so much? I also found, turmeric is great for your skin! Every DIY site I visit I can always find mask recipes for turmeric powder! There is a very long list of skincare benefits for turmeric. It can help treat acne blemishes, blackheads, dark spots, hyperpigmentaion and other skin conditions like eczema. It can even prevent dry skin and slow down the aging process! Turmeric is used daily by East Indian women as a facial cleanser and exfoliate, and is becoming more popular in in the US.

So now that we all know the great benefits of turmeric, lets get into how to make it into a great mask!

First, add about a tablespoon of turmeric to you bowl. All measurements can be adjusted to your liking of course.

Next, add your flour. About a tablespoon should be good! The flour will help the mask become a nice thick paste and prevent the honey from sliding all down your face. Flour is also good for oily skin!

Mix up your flour and turmeric!

Now, add about 2 tablespoons of honey! If you've done any of my masks before you'll know honey is GREAT for your skin!

Mix, mix, mix until its nice and pasty! If its too runny, add more flour or turmeric. If its too powdery, add more honey! And you're done!

Cover your skin in a nice layer and leave it on for about 10-15 minutes. Then rise it off and pat dry!

As soon as I took of this mask my skin felt super soft and it stayed less oily throughout the day, even in the hot sun. I'm really excited to used this mask again in the future and see how it improves my skin! If you use this mask already or just now gave it a try, tell me what you think! Thanks!

My trip to Key Largo! ♥

Hey guys! So I went on a two day trip to Key Largo and got back just yesterday! I had a lot of fun with my
younger brother and dad. We went snorkeling twice and drove around Key Largo, just looking at the sights. Here are just a few of the pictures I took (some of them my dad took) starting from the drive there and ending on the final sunrise I saw in Key Largo! Enjoy!

Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask review! ♥

Hello, hello! Just the other day I was at Walmart, looking for a new, inexpensive, face wash. I frequently use my own DIY masks but when it comes to just washing my face I just uses a little soap and water. So, time to change things up! I have pretty bad acne so I needed something to clear breakouts and blackheads that I can use daily. While I was looking, THIS product really caught my eye!

Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask!

When I saw this I knew I had to try it. Not only is it a daily cleanser, but it is also a mask! You can either apply it, massage in and wash it off in the mornings and night or you can apply it and leaving it on for a few extra minutes as a mask! Pretty cool, huh?

I tried it myself and it feels amazing! It has a surprisingly perfumy, pleasant smell, that isn't too soap-like. But it is really strong when you actually put it all over your face. It feels very cooling and smooth on my skin. It is supposed to clear breakouts and eliminate blackhead causing-impurities while also deep cleaning and eliminating oil for extra shine control!
So far, I really like it! My skin feels soft after I use it and while I have it on it feels like its really working. Online reviews gave it a 4/5 which is pretty good to me! I'll keep using it and see if there is any improvement in my skin!

If you have this product, does it work for you?

My Marimos! ♥

Hey guys! I've had these little guys for ages but I never did a blog spot about them! So let me introduce these little guys, my marimos! Kuppuru (on right) and Pixis (on the left). These little, green moss balls make simple, easy, and cute pets/plants!

Marimo, also known as moss balls or lake balls in English, is a rare form of green algae that is found in some lakes in the northern hemisphere. They are simple round balls of moss that grow on lake floors. They are mostly found in Lake Akan in Japan and Lake Myvantain Iceland! Marimos grow super slow; only 5mm per year but the can live to be 100 years old!
Marimo Aquarium in Japan!
Marimos are not very expensive (price can vary from size and if container is provided). I ordered two small marimos from etsy.com and it was only $14 plus shipping! (one for me and one for Anna~) My larger marimo was a gift from Anna! She purchased it for me at an fish emporium for only $5! You can also buy them from a pet store because they make nice decorations for aquariums. I'm not sure if there is a difference between marimos from America and marimos from Japan so I purchased one online just to make sure I had both!

One of the best things about marimos is that they are VERY, VERY, VERY easy to take care of! All you need is: a bowl, water and light. You can keep them in a jar or in a tank of water indoors and they can't be put in direct sunlight or heat so next to a lamp or in a bright room is good enough for them! Also, you only need to change the water every 2 weeks! I use bottled water every week or two. You can also use tap water, but leave the water uncovered overnight to get rid of the chlorine. When I change their water I give the marimos a quick bath by squeezing them gently to get the dirty water out and rinsing them off. And lastly, whenever you're bored, just push the marimo around gently in the bowl so that they keep their round shape! That's it! Super easy to take care of and super cute!

Here are my marimos!
Both my marimos!

Pikushisu!

So I hope you enjoyed this post! If you have any further questions about marimos, feel free to ask!

Side note: Some moving pixels aren't working for me! Is anyone else having this problem? :c

My SHINee Poster! ♥

Hi guys! Sooooo, sorry I haven't been blogging a lot recently. I've been spending a lot of time on tumblr and just being lazy. Today is August 1st and that means only 18 days until school start.
I really don't want to go back! But it can't be helped. While I still have time left though I've been going some pretty cool things! One of those things being making a HUGE SHINee poster! I printed out a ton of SHINee  (SHINee is my favorite kpop group by the way) photos/edits from tumblr and glued them all to three big poster boards. It didn't take me too long to finish and I'm happy with how it turned out. After a lot of cutting and printing, I finally get to see my five shining boys everyday! If you have a printer, some nice photo paper, and glue I suggest making one yourself. And it doesn't have to be SHINee of course! You can make a motivational poster; positive notes about eating right, exercising, working hard in school, etc. Or you can make one of just pretty pictures you find on the internet. I got my posters for only 50 cents at Publix and $30 worth of ink will last you a LONG time. All these pictures and I still have plenty ink to spare!

Final product! Its really tall!

Kind of blurry :c

So try making your own poster! Its a lot of fun and the finished product is awesome!
